This kit builds upon the reputable Procomp system by incorporating larger rotors, calipers, and brake pads, along with an increased piston count. The Supercomp kit also features full-floating rotors, which enhance self-centering within the caliper for more precise brake application. The calipers are meticulously crafted from a one-piece billet of aerospace-grade aluminum, ensuring exceptional strength, minimal weight, and superior resistance to corrosion. This kit features a floating two-piece rotor design, where the outer section of the rotor can shift slightly. This allows for better self-centering within the caliper, which reduces brake drag and improves overall braking performance through more even pad engagement. Ksport offers customizable caliper colors, including standard options like Orange, Red, Black, and Yellow, with premium finishes and custom color matching also available. The Supercomp kit includes SC5 Street Pads, formulated with NAOC Ceramic material to provide optimal braking performance for street use and occasional track days. These pads significantly reduce brake dust and noise compared to race pads, while maintaining optimal operating temperatures between 194°F and 1022°F. Additionally, DOT compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines are included to eliminate line expansion under pressure, resulting in a quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel. Buyers can choose between slotted or cross-drilled rotors, with cross-drilled recommended for daily drivers due to better cooling and slotted for track-focused vehicles.
