The SuperComp caliper, a standout feature of this kit, is crafted from aircraft quality billet and weighs just over 7lbs. It boasts a differential bore configuration with substantially larger pistons than Ksport's ProComp calipers, and includes protection grooves for bridge tubes. Standard features on each caliper design include aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, and stainless steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston caliper design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity compared to OEM designs, while stainless steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure. This SuperComp system includes a 2-piece floating disc assembly, which reduces both rotating and unsprung weight. The floating disc design also mitigates thermal stresses from extreme heat, preventing disc warping and cupping of the braking surface. The rotors feature a unique slot design to reduce braking noise and expel gas and pad debris more efficiently than conventional designs. Every rotor is heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. Drilled rotors are recommended for daily-driven vehicles as they tend to run cooler, while slotted rotors are ideal for vehicles with more track use.
