The calipers are precision-machined from a solid billet of aircraft-grade aluminum, ensuring a lightweight yet incredibly strong and corrosion-resistant construction. These one-piece calipers boast aluminum pistons that offer superior heat resistance and reliable operation. This kit features a two-piece floating rotor design, standard on all Supercomp systems. The floating outer section allows for slight adjustments, improving self-centering, reducing brake drag, and promoting more even pad application for increased performance. Buyers can choose between slotted or cross-drilled rotors; cross-drilled options are recommended for daily drivers due to better cooling, while slotted rotors are advised for vehicles with more track usage. The included NAOC Ceramic SC5 Street Pads offer optimal braking performance for street and occasional track use, significantly reducing brake dust, noise, and rotor wear. Additionally, D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines are included, which resist expansion under pressure, leading to a quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel.
