Description

The Chevy Big Brake Kit is engineered to drastically improve braking compared to factory systems for 88-98 GM Trucks and SUVs. This front kit utilizes new C5 calipers and offers rotor options ranging from 13" to 15" in diameter, all featuring drilled and slotted designs with directional vanes and a 1.1" thickness. The kit includes a precision-machined aluminum hub with an ABS ring, a 5x5 bolt pattern, laser-cut mounting brackets, new brake pads, and DOT stainless steel hose kits. Installation can be performed using stock or drop spindles with caliper "ears" (HD Spindle Only), or with React Spindles for a true bolt-on application. Modifications are required on stock or stock-style spindles with caliper "ears"; however, no modifications are needed when using React Suspension's modular 2" drop spindle. The hub utilizes 14x1.5mm studs. It is critical to note that this kit requires an HD 1.25" spindle and will NOT work on light-duty 1.00" brake spindles. The track width will widen by 5/16" per side, unless used with a React spindle. Key features include the use of new calipers (not rebuilt), a precision-machined hub, and a laser-cut mounting bracket. Wheel diameter requirements depend on the selected rotor size. Installation instructions for both modified stock spindles and CPP/React spindles are available, along with brake templates for 13", 14", and 15" rotors.
