This Supercomp kit features advanced brake technology that significantly reduces brake fade by continuously cooling and refreshing the brake pad surface during braking. The extreme lightweight, one-piece caliper is CNC machined from aircraft-quality billet and boasts a differential bore configuration. Weighing just over 5 lbs each, these calipers include integrated protection grooves for bridge tubes, aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston caliper design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity compared to OEM designs, while stainless-steel brake lines prevent hose expansion under pressure. Ksport utilizes a two-piece disc assembly to minimize rotating and unsprung weight. Many applications offer a floating disc option to mitigate thermal stress and prevent warping or cupping of the braking surface under extreme heat. The unique slot design on the rotors efficiently reduces braking noise and expels gas and pad debris more rapidly than conventional designs. All rotors are heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. Slotted rotors are recommended for vehicles experiencing more track use, while cross-drilled rotors are suggested for daily drivers as they tend to run cooler.
