The kit features an extreme lightweight, one-piece caliper that is CNC machined from aircraft-quality billet aluminum. This caliper comes in a differential bore configuration, weighs just over 5lbs, and includes built-in protection grooves for bridge tubes. Standard features on each caliper include aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston caliper design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity compared to OEM components. Stainless-steel brake lines are included to prevent expansion under pressure. Ksport utilizes a 2-piece disc assembly to reduce both rotating and unsprung weight. Many applications offer a floating disc option, which mitigates thermal stresses from extreme heat, preventing disc warping or cupping of the braking surface. The unique slot design on the rotor minimizes braking noise and efficiently expels gas and pad debris. All rotors are heat-treated and balanced before shipment to ensure optimal performance. The manufacturer recommends cross-drilled rotors for daily driven vehicles as they tend to run cooler, while slotted rotors are advised for vehicles that experience more track use. This specific kit is designed for the Mercedes-Benz C219 CLS chassis, model years 2004-2011, excluding AMG models.
