This system features Ksport's innovative Slimline Caliper design, which is based on the thickness of OEM single-side floating piston calipers, allowing for compatibility with tighter wheel spaces. Constructed from aerospace-quality aluminum, the lightweight forged one-piece calipers eliminate weak spots inherent in cast or welded designs, ensuring exceptional strength and durability. These calipers house aluminum pistons protected by heavy-duty seals capable of handling racetrack temperatures. The opposed-piston design guarantees consistent brake pad grip and wear, while standard features include high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The rotors are a two-piece design, significantly reducing weight compared to OEM one-piece rotors and offering fade-free performance. Lightweight center sections crafted from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum minimize rotational mass for improved stopping response. The two-piece rotor construction allows the outer section to expand and contract independently, reducing the risk of warping due to heat buildup and acting as effective heat sinks. This specific kit features 12-inch slotted rotors, recommended for vehicles with more track use due to their ability to wipe away heat, dust, and gases. The kit includes a set of SC5 Street Brake Pads, designed for optimal performance under street and occasional track conditions, offering reduced dust and noise. For extreme track conditions, an upgrade to RCI Race Pads is available. The kit also comes with DOT-compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines, which prevent expansion under pressure for a quicker pedal response and firmer pedal feel. Standard kit inclusions are two forged monoblock aluminum calipers, two lightweight two-piece slotted rotors, one set of SC5 Street Brake Pads, two stainless steel brake lines, all required mounting components and hardware, and an owner's manual.
