Building upon the foundation of the Procomp kit, the Supercomp version boasts significantly larger calipers, rotors, and brake pads, along with an increased number of pistons. All calipers are meticulously crafted from a single billet of aircraft-grade aluminum, ensuring lightweight strength and corrosion resistance, and feature aluminum pistons for enhanced heat management. Standard on all Supercomp systems are floating two-piece rotors. This design allows the outer section to shift slightly, improving self-centering within the caliper. This results in reduced brake drag and more consistent pad application for boosted performance. The kit also includes D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines, which eliminate line expansion under pressure, leading to quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel compared to stock rubber lines. Included with the kit are SC5 Street Pads, designed for optimal braking performance in street conditions and occasional track use. These pads offer a significant reduction in brake dust and noise while minimizing rotor wear, with an optimal operating temperature range of 194°F - 1022°F. Rotor options include slotted or cross-drilled, with cross-drilled recommended for daily drivers due to cooler operation, and slotted for track-focused vehicles.
