Big Brake Kit with Floating Rotors

The Ksport BKHD470-447CO is a high-performance floating rotor big brake kit engineered to deliver the ultimate in stopping power. Available with 4, 6, or 8 piston caliper options, this system is purpose-built to eliminate brake fade, manage extreme heat, and deliver consistent, repeatable braking performance in even the most demanding conditions. The kit features a 2-piece floating disc assembly that isolates thermal stress from the hat to the rotor ring, preventing warping and cupping caused by extreme heat cycles. Rotors are heat-treated and balanced prior to shipment. The calipers are lightweight, one-piece billet aluminum, CNC machined from aircraft-quality billet and weighing just over 5 lbs. each. They feature a differential bore configuration for improved pad wear and even clamping force, an opposed piston design for better pad contact uniformity and caliper rigidity, aluminum pistons for reduced unsprung weight, and high-temperature seals. Rotor features include a unique slot design to expel gas, dust, and pad debris while reducing braking noise. The 2-piece construction reduces both rotating and unsprung weight. Cross-drilled rotors run cooler and are recommended for street/daily-driven vehicles, while slotted rotors are recommended for track-focused applications. Stainless-steel braided brake lines are included to prevent line expansion under pressure, delivering a firm, consistent pedal feel. This specific kit is designed for the 2017-2021 Honda Civic Type-R.
