The 27WON Big Brake Kit (BBK) is a comprehensive upgrade for the front braking system of your vehicle, designed to address the limitations of stock brakes when faced with increased power and speed. This kit combines forged aluminum calipers with stainless steel staggered 4-piston designs, two-piece 13-inch rotors with directional internal vanes and face slots, billet steel brackets, and DOT-approved stainless steel braided brake lines. All necessary installation hardware, including 12.9 grade hardware, is included. The design prioritizes heat dissipation, braking force, and weight reduction. Forged aluminum calipers offer a superior strength-to-weight ratio, minimizing unsprung mass and caliper flex. Stainless steel pistons are used for their low thermal conductivity, reducing the risk of brake fluid boil-over during aggressive use. The 2-piece rotors, with their increased diameter and thickness, enhance thermal capacity and braking force, while directional vanes and slots aid in cooling and debris removal. This system results in shorter stopping distances and improved pedal feel. Installation is described as relatively easy for DIY projects, with a provided online and mobile-friendly installation guide, and an estimated 2-hour install time. However, OEM wheels will require the use of a wheel spacer for proper fitment, and aftermarket wheels may also need them; a wheel fitment guide is available to help determine the necessary spacer thickness. The kit includes "blue sport pads" intended for spirited street use, with a recommendation for track-specific pads for dedicated track driving. Rotor replacement is required when thickness drops below 24mm, and replacement rotors are available.
