The calipers are crafted from forged, one-piece aircraft-quality billet aluminum, featuring a differential bore configuration and weighing just over 5 pounds each. Standard inclusions for these calipers are aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston design significantly improves both pad wear and caliper rigidity compared to OEM components. Additionally, DOT compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines are included, which prevent line expansion under pressure, leading to a firmer pedal feel and quicker response over stock rubber lines. The 2-piece disc assembly reduces both rotating and unsprung weight. The unique slot design on the rotors helps to reduce braking noise and efficiently expels gas and pad debris. Each rotor undergoes heat treatment and balancing to ensure optimal performance. This specific kit features 330mm (13-inch) slotted rotors, recommended for track use due to their ability to expel heat and debris effectively, though cross-drilled rotors are an option for cooler running on daily drivers.
