The calipers are precision-crafted from a solid billet of aircraft-grade aluminum, ensuring a lightweight yet exceptionally strong and corrosion-free construction. Inside, aluminum pistons enhance heat resistance and maintain optimal operation under demanding conditions. The floating two-piece rotor design allows the outer section to shift slightly, further improving self-centering and reducing brake drag for a more efficient braking experience. Standard SC5 Street Pads are included, offering optimal performance for street and occasional track use with reduced dust (by 50% or more compared to race pads), noise, and rotor wear. The kit also features D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines, which prevent line expansion under pressure, leading to a quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel compared to stock rubber lines. Customers can choose between slotted or cross-drilled rotors. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily-driven vehicles due to their superior cooling, while slotted rotors are suggested for more track-focused applications.
