The extreme lightweight one-piece caliper is CNC machined from aircraft-quality billet, weighing just over 5 lbs. each, and features machined-in protection grooves for bridge tubes. Standard on each caliper are aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston caliper design significantly enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity compared to OEM systems. Additionally, the included stainless-steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure, further contributing to braking system integrity. The kit utilizes a 2-piece disc assembly to reduce both rotating and unsprung weight. For applications with a floating disc option, thermal stresses from extreme heat are mitigated, preventing disc warping or surface cupping. Ksport's unique rotor slot design minimizes braking noise and more effectively expels gas and pad debris than conventional designs. Each rotor is heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily driven vehicles as they run cooler, while slotted rotors are ideal for vehicles with more track use.
