Big Brake Kit with Opposed Piston Calipers

The Ksport Procomp Big Brake Kit offers a substantial improvement in stopping performance compared to factory brake systems. The kit's design actively reduces brake fade by continually cooling and refreshing the brake pad surface during braking. The extreme lightweight one-piece caliper is CNC machined from aircraft-quality billet and features a differential bore configuration. Standard on this caliper are aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston caliper design not only improves pad wear but also increases caliper rigidity over OEM designs. Complementing the calipers, stainless-steel brake lines are included to eliminate expansion under pressure. Ksport utilizes a 2-piece disc assembly for this kit, which helps reduce both rotating and unsprung weight. Many applications offer a floating disc option to mitigate warping and cupping caused by thermal stresses from extreme heat. The rotors feature a unique slot design that significantly reduces braking noise and expels gas and pad debris more efficiently than conventional designs. Each rotor is always heat-treated and balanced before shipment to ensure optimal performance. For daily driven vehicles, cross-drilled rotors are recommended for cooler operation, while slotted rotors are advised for vehicles with more track use. It is specifically designed for the 1991-1998 Mazda MX-3. Note that the original handbrake will not function with this kit.
