This kit builds upon the Procomp series with larger calipers, rotors, and brake pads, alongside an increased number of pistons and standard full-floating rotors that facilitate better self-centering within the caliper. The calipers themselves are forged from a single piece of aircraft-grade aluminum, ensuring exceptional strength, light weight, and resistance to corrosion. Aluminum pistons are integrated for superior heat management. The floating two-piece rotor design is standard, allowing the outer section to adjust slightly for improved caliper self-centering, reduced brake drag, and more consistent pad application. Buyers can choose between slotted or cross-drilled rotors: cross-drilled are recommended for daily drivers due to cooler operation, while slotted rotors are favored for track use. Included are SC5 Street Pads, formulated with NAOC Ceramic material to deliver excellent braking performance for street driving and occasional track sessions. These pads offer a significant reduction in brake dust (over 50% compared to race pads) and minimize noise and rotor wear, with an optimal operating temperature range of 194°F to 1022°F.
