This kit elevates performance beyond the Procomp line with larger calipers, rotors, and pads, increased piston count, and standard full-floating rotors for enhanced self-centering. The calipers are precision-machined from a solid billet of aerospace-grade aluminum, ensuring a lightweight yet incredibly strong and corrosion-free component. The one-piece forged construction guarantees uniform thickness and strength. Aluminum pistons are incorporated for superior heat resistance. Standard on the Supercomp system are floating two-piece rotors. This design reduces brake drag and improves performance through more consistent pad application. Buyers can choose between slotted or cross-drilled rotors; cross-drilled options offer better cooling for daily drivers, while slotted rotors are recommended for track use. The included SC5 Street Pads provide excellent braking performance under street and occasional track conditions, with reduced dust and noise compared to race pads, operating optimally between 194°F and 1022°F. D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines are included, which prevent hose expansion under pressure, leading to quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel. The calipers are available in standard painted finishes like Orange, Red, Black, and Yellow, with premium high-polish options including Silver, Gold, Titanium, and Glassy/Hard Anodized Colors, along with over 20,000 custom color possibilities.
