The Ksport Supercomp Mercedes Benz SLK 13" Big Brake System represents their most extreme brake upgrade, engineered for maximum stopping power with a direct bolt-on installation that necessitates no vehicle modifications. This system enhances braking performance through larger calipers, rotors, and brake pads, coupled with increased piston size and standard full-floating rotors that promote better self-centering within the caliper. The calipers are precision-machined from a solid billet of aerospace-quality aluminum, ensuring a lightweight yet incredibly strong, one-piece construction that eliminates weak points prone to fracturing or warpage. These calipers utilize aluminum pistons, which offer superior heat resistance and prevent corrosion, while an opposed-piston design ensures consistent brake pad grip and wear. High-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates are also standard. The lightweight center sections are crafted from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, reducing rotational mass for quicker wheel response. The two-piece design allows the outer rotor section to expand and contract independently, minimizing warping due to heat buildup, while the aluminum center sections act as effective heat sinks. The standard kit includes (2) Forged, Monoblock Aluminum Calipers, (2) Lightweight Two-Piece Rotors (Slotted or Drilled), (1) Set of SC5 Street Brake Pads, (2) Stainless Steel Brake Lines, and all necessary mounting components and hardware.
