The kit features an extreme lightweight, one-piece caliper, CNC machined from aircraft-quality billet. This caliper has a differential bore configuration and incorporates machined-in protection grooves. Standard features include aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates, all contributing to improved pad wear and caliper rigidity compared to OEM designs. The included stainless-steel brake lines are built to prevent expansion under pressure. Ksport utilizes a 2-piece disc assembly for reduced rotating and unsprung weight. Many applications offer a floating disc option to mitigate thermal stresses and prevent warping or cupping under extreme heat. The unique slot design on the rotor aids in reducing braking noise and efficiently expels gas and pad debris. For optimal performance, each rotor is heat-treated and balanced prior to shipment. The choice between cross-drilled and slotted rotors depends on your driving habits: cross-drilled rotors tend to run cooler and are recommended for daily-driven vehicles, while slotted rotors are better suited for vehicles that experience more track use.
