It surpasses the Procomp kit by incorporating larger calipers, rotors, and brake pads, along with an increased number of pistons and standard full-floating rotors that aid in caliper self-centering for optimized performance. The calipers themselves are a testament to Ksport's commitment to quality, featuring a one-piece construction from a solid billet of aerospace-grade aluminum. This method ensures lightweight design, exceptional strength, and immunity to corrosion, outperforming cast or welded alternatives. The calipers are equipped with aluminum pistons, which offer superior heat resistance compared to standard materials, ensuring consistent performance even under demanding conditions. Further enhancing performance, the Supercomp kit features a floating two-piece rotor design, with the outer section allowing for slight adjustments. This self-centering capability reduces brake drag and improves braking efficiency through more even pad application. Standard with the kit are NAOC Ceramic SC5 Street Pads, which provide optimal braking for street and occasional track use, significantly reducing brake dust, noise, and rotor wear. The pads are effective in an optimal temperature range of 194°F to 1022°F. Additionally, D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines are included, which prevent line expansion under pressure for a quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel. Customers can choose between slotted or cross-drilled rotors; cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily driven vehicles due to their superior cooling, while slotted rotors are better suited for track applications.
