The Ksport Supercomp Big Brake Kit is engineered as an extreme brake upgrade, offering the highest level of stopping power without requiring vehicle modifications. This kit surpasses the Procomp kit with larger calipers, rotors, and brake pads, increased piston count, and standard full-floating rotors for improved self-centering and reduced drag. The calipers are forged from a single billet of aerospace-quality aluminum, ensuring lightweight strength and corrosion resistance, and incorporate aluminum pistons for superior heat management. Key features include a one-piece forged caliper design for even strength and thickness, CNC-machined carbon steel caliper brackets to facilitate direct bolt-on installation to OEM locations, and a floating two-piece rotor design. The floating outer rotor allows for slight shifting, enhancing self-centering, minimizing brake drag, and ensuring more even pad application for boosted performance. Stainless steel braided brake lines are included, which are D.O.T compliant, reduce expansion under pressure, and provide quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel. Customers can select between slotted or cross-drilled rotors. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily-driven vehicles as they run cooler, while slotted rotors are suggested for vehicles that see more track time. The kit comes standard with SC5 Street Pads, which offer optimal braking performance for street and occasional track use, significantly reducing brake dust (by 50% or more compared to race pads) and noise while minimizing rotor wear. These pads are optimized for operating temperatures between 194°F - 1022°F. Ksport offers a wide array of custom caliper color options, including standard painted colors and premium high-polish finishes, with over 20,000 custom color finishes also available. This kit is built to order, with production and delivery typically taking 4-6 weeks.
