This kit is a sophisticated bolt-on solution that builds upon the benefits of Ksport's Procomp system, incorporating larger calipers, rotors, and brake pads, along with an increased piston count. Standard full-floating rotors are included to enhance self-centering within the caliper, optimizing brake application and reducing drag. Each caliper is meticulously crafted from a one-piece billet of aerospace-quality aluminum, ensuring exceptional lightweight strength and immunity to corrosion. The floating two-piece rotor design allows the outer section to shift slightly, further improving self-centering, reducing brake drag, and boosting overall performance through more even pad application. The kit includes Ksport's SC5 Street Pads, which provide optimal braking for street and occasional track use, offering a 50% reduction in brake dust compared to race pads, while minimizing noise and rotor wear. The included D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines prevent line expansion under pressure, leading to a quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel. Customers can choose between slotted or cross-drilled rotors, with cross-drilled recommended for daily drivers due to better cooling, and slotted rotors for track-focused vehicles. Ksport Big Brake kits are built to order and typically require 4-6 weeks for production and delivery. This kit is specifically designed for the Volkswagen Corrado model years 1988-1992 and fits 2WD vehicles only.
