This advanced, bolt-on system surpasses the Procomp kit with its substantially larger calipers, rotors, and brake pads. It features an increased number of pistons and standard full-floating rotors that promote better self-centering within the caliper, reducing drag and enhancing braking performance. Constructed from a solid billet of aircraft-grade aluminum, the one-piece forged calipers are exceptionally lightweight, strong, and resistant to corrosion. They incorporate aluminum pistons for superior heat management and reliable operation. The two-piece floating rotor design is standard, allowing the outer section to shift slightly for optimal self-centering, which minimizes brake drag and ensures more even pad application. Included with the kit are Ksport's SC5 Street Pads, which offer optimal braking performance for street use and occasional track conditions. These pads are designed to reduce brake dust by over 50% compared to race pads, while also minimizing noise and rotor wear, with an optimal operating temperature range of 194°F to 1022°F. DOT-compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines are also standard, preventing line expansion under pressure for a quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel. Customers can choose between cross-drilled or slotted rotors. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily-driven vehicles as they tend to run cooler, while slotted rotors are better suited for track-focused applications.
