Big Brake Kit with Slotted Rotors

The Ksport Supercomp Big Brake Kit represents an extreme upgrade in stopping power, engineered as a sophisticated, direct bolt-on solution that integrates new brake technology to significantly reduce brake fade. This kit features larger calipers, rotors, and brake pads compared to the Procomp series, along with an increased number of pistons and standard full-floating rotors that enhance self-centering capabilities within the caliper. The Supercomp calipers are machined from a solid billet of aircraft-grade aluminum, ensuring a lightweight yet exceptionally strong and corrosion-resistant construction. They feature aluminum pistons for superior heat management and longevity, as well as machined-in protection grooves for bridge tubes. The opposed piston design contributes to improved pad wear and caliper rigidity over OEM components. Additionally, the kit includes DOT-compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines, which prevent expansion under pressure for a quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel. This kit utilizes a floating two-piece rotor design, where the outer section of the rotor can shift slightly, allowing for better self-centering. This feature minimizes brake drag and optimizes performance through more even pad application. Rotors are available in either a slotted or cross-drilled configuration. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily-driven vehicles as they tend to run cooler, while slotted rotors are better suited for vehicles that see more track time. Included with the kit are SC5 Street Pads, designed for optimal braking performance in street and occasional track conditions. These pads offer a significant reduction in brake dust (50% or more compared to race pads) and minimize noise and rotor wear, with an optimal operating temperature range of 194°F - 1022°F.
