Inside, aluminum pistons are utilized for their enhanced heat resistance and reliable operation. Key components of this rear brake kit include two-piece rotors, which provide a combination of lightweight design, fade-free performance, and effective grip on the track, while also offering comfortable operation for daily driving. The included SC5 Street Pads (NAOC Ceramic) are optimized for street use and occasional track conditions. These pads are noted for reducing brake dust by over 50% compared to race pads, while also minimizing noise and rotor wear. The optimal operating temperature range for these pads is between 194°F and 1022°F. Further enhancing performance and feel, the kit incorporates D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines. These lines are crucial for preventing expansion under pressure, leading to a quicker pedal response and a firmer, more consistent pedal feel compared to standard rubber lines. The calipers themselves, available in 2 or 4-piston configurations for rear applications, feature an opposed piston design that significantly improves pad wear and caliper rigidity over OEM designs. Carbon steel caliper brackets are included to ensure proper fitment with OEM caliper bracket locations. Customers can choose between Slotted or Cross Drilled rotors. Cross Drilled rotors are recommended for daily driven vehicles as they run cooler, while Slotted rotors are suggested for vehicles that see more track time.
