This kit surpasses the Procomp series with its enhanced components, including larger calipers, rotors, and brake pads, coupled with an increased number of pistons and standard full-floating rotors. The full-floating design promotes better self-centering within the caliper, which in turn reduces brake drag and optimizes pad application for improved performance and heat management. Each caliper is meticulously crafted from a solid billet of aircraft-grade aluminum, ensuring exceptional lightweight strength and long-term corrosion resistance. The one-piece construction avoids the weaknesses associated with cast or welded calipers. Inside, aluminum pistons are utilized for their superior heat resistance, maintaining consistent performance even under demanding conditions. The included SC5 Street Pads offer a balance of performance for street and occasional track use, with significantly reduced brake dust and noise compared to pure race pads. D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines replace restrictive OEM rubber lines, preventing expansion under pressure for a firmer pedal feel and quicker response. Ksport utilizes a two-piece rotor assembly to reduce rotational and unsprung weight. The floating disc option is available to mitigate thermal stresses that can cause warping or cupping of the braking surface under extreme heat. Rotor customization is offered with either slotted or cross-drilled designs. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily drivers due to their superior cooling capabilities, while slotted rotors are advised for vehicles primarily used on the track. All rotors are heat-treated and balanced prior to shipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
