Big Brake Kit with Slotted Rotors

The Ksport Supercomp Hyundai Sonata 13” Big Brake System represents the pinnacle of braking upgrades, engineered for maximum stopping power with a direct bolt-on installation requiring no vehicle modifications. This kit elevates performance by incorporating larger calipers, rotors, and brake pads, complemented by an increased piston count and a full-floating rotor design for enhanced self-centering within the caliper. The calipers themselves are crafted from a one-piece billet of aircraft-grade aluminum, ensuring exceptional strength, light weight, and immunity to corrosion. Inside, aluminum pistons are employed for superior heat management and consistent operation, further enhanced by heavy-duty seals and titanium retainer clips. The system utilizes lightweight, two-piece rotors, available in either slotted or cross-drilled configurations. Slotted rotors are recommended for track-focused applications as they excel at dissipating heat, dust, and gases, while cross-drilled rotors are better suited for daily driving due to their superior cooling properties. The two-piece design allows the outer rotor section to expand and contract independently, significantly reducing the risk of warping from heat buildup. The lightweight center sections, made from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, reduce rotational mass for quicker response and easier wheel stopping. Standard on the Supercomp system is a full floating rotor design, enabling the outer section to shift as needed, improving self-centering, reducing brake drag, and ensuring more even pad application for optimal performance. Included in the standard kit are two forged, monoblock aluminum calipers, two lightweight two-piece rotors (slotted or drilled), a set of SC5 Street Brake Pads, two stainless steel brake lines, and all necessary mounting hardware and brackets. The stainless steel brake lines are DOT compliant, preventing line expansion under pressure for a firmer pedal feel and quicker response compared to rubber lines. The SC5 Street Pads offer a balance of performance for street and occasional track use, minimizing dust and rotor wear. For dedicated track use, an optional upgrade to RCI Race Pads is available, providing maximum stopping power at higher temperatures but not recommended for street driving. The kit is compatible with 17-inch wheels and larger. All Ksport Big Brake Kits come with a 12-month limited warranty covering manufacturer defects.
