This kit builds upon the Procomp series by incorporating larger calipers, rotors, and pads, an increased number of pistons, and the advantage of full-floating rotors for superior self-centering capabilities. Each caliper is precision-machined from a solid billet of aircraft-grade aluminum, ensuring exceptional strength, light weight, and resistance to corrosion. Aluminum pistons are employed to enhance heat dissipation and maintain optimal performance under demanding conditions. Construction highlights include a forged one-piece caliper design that guarantees uniform thickness and strength throughout the component. The kit features standard two-piece floating rotors, allowing for slight adjustments for better self-centering within the caliper, which reduces brake drag and improves overall performance. Buyers can customize their rotor choice between slotted for track use or cross-drilled for better cooling on daily driven vehicles. Included are SC5 Street Pads, formulated with NAOC Ceramic to provide excellent braking performance for both street driving and occasional track use. These pads offer a significant reduction in brake dust and noise compared to race pads, with optimal operating temperatures between 194°F and 1022°F. The kit also comes with D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines, which minimize line expansion under pressure, resulting in a quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel than standard rubber lines.
