Big Brake Kit with Slotted Rotors

The Ksport Supercomp Kia Sportage 14” Big Brake System is engineered as an extreme brake upgrade, delivering the highest level of stopping power without necessitating any vehicle modifications for installation. This sophisticated bolt-on system builds upon the benefits of Ksport's Procomp kits, incorporating larger calipers, rotors, and brake pads, along with increased pistons and standard full-floating rotors for enhanced self-centering within the caliper. Each caliper is crafted from a single piece of aircraft-grade aluminum, ensuring lightweight strength and resistance to corrosion. The aluminum pistons offer superior heat resistance, maintaining uncompromised operation even under demanding conditions. An opposed-piston design promotes consistent brake pad grip and wear across both sides of the rotor. The Supercomp Big Brake systems utilize lightweight two-piece rotors, available in either Cross Drilled or Slotted configurations. Cross Drilled rotors are recommended for daily-driven vehicles as they dissipate heat more effectively than slotted rotors, while slotted rotors are better suited for track use due to their ability to sweep away heat, dust, and gases. The lightweight center sections are made from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, reducing rotational mass for quicker wheel response. The two-piece design allows the outer rotor to expand and contract independently, significantly reducing the risk of warping from heat buildup. The standard kit includes two forged, monoblock aluminum calipers, two lightweight two-piece rotors (slotted or drilled), one set of SC5 Street Brake Pads, two stainless steel brake lines, all required mounting components and hardware, and an owner's manual. Ksport Big Brake kits are built to order and typically require 4-6 weeks for production and delivery. This system is appropriate for 18-inch wheels and above.
