This advanced, bolt-on upgrade builds upon the proven performance of the Procomp kit, incorporating larger caliper and rotor dimensions, increased piston sizes, and standard full-floating rotors that enhance self-centering capabilities. The calipers themselves are precision-machined from a single billet of aircraft-grade aluminum, ensuring exceptional strength, light weight, and resistance to corrosion. Inside, aluminum pistons are utilized for their superior heat dissipation properties, contributing to consistent and reliable braking performance. The two-piece floating rotor design is a standard feature on the Supercomp systems, allowing for slight adjustments that improve self-centering, reduce brake drag, and promote more even pad application. Customers can choose between slotted or cross-drilled rotors; cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily driven vehicles due to their superior cooling, while slotted rotors are better suited for track applications that demand maximum performance and heat management. The kit includes SC5 Street Pads, which offer a balance of braking performance for street and occasional track use, with reduced dust and noise compared to race pads. Additionally, the kit comes equipped with D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines. These lines are crucial for preventing expansion under pressure, leading to a quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel compared to stock rubber lines.
