The COMP Cams Big Mutha Thumpr NSR camshaft is engineered for Ford 4.6L and 5.4L 3V Modular engines, including popular models like the F-150, Expedition, Mustang, and Navigator. This camshaft boasts an aggressive profile with 281 degrees of advertised intake duration and 314 degrees of advertised exhaust duration, paired with a .450-inch valve lift on both intake and exhaust. Its 109-degree lobe separation angle and 750-6800 RPM operating range are designed to deliver significant power gains. This camshaft set is designed to give your Ford 3 valve engine an aggressive, extremely rough idle, transforming it into a performance machine. It requires a stroker motor and/or ported heads for optimal performance. Major horsepower gains are achievable up to 6800 RPM, and it is recommended for use with 3.73+ gears and a 2500 stall converter (or 3000-3400 stall suggested for some applications).
