Billet Aluminum and Polyurethane Mount

This excessive movement can decrease stability during high-performance driving and rapid gear selection. The FSWERKS replacement features a durable mount body machined from billet aircraft-grade aluminum, which is nearly twice as strong as the OE cast material. Specially shaped, molded polyurethane inserts with a 70A durometer are incorporated to minimize unwanted engine flex. The result is a noticeable increase in vehicle stability during hard acceleration and braking, as well as more precise gear changes. Note: For street use, FSWERKS recommends using only the rear engine mount. Using all performance polyurethane mounts together may introduce vibrations undesirable for a daily driver and is best suited for track applications like road racing, drag racing, and autocross. Installation requires supporting the engine and adherence to specific torque specifications: two nuts to the engine block at 59 ft-lbs, two center engine mount bolts at 38 ft-lbs, two support bracket bolts to the chassis at 35 ft-lbs, and a small bolt underneath at 6 ft-lbs. Blue Loctite 242 should be used on the threads. The mount includes a steel bracket for installation. Fitment includes the Ford Focus Duratec 2.0L and 2.3L engines from 2003 through 2011.
