Description

Machined from billet aluminum, this valve dumps boosted air to the atmosphere to generate an audible whoosh sound upon throttle release. Unlike traditional single-piston or diaphragm-style diverter valves, this model utilizes counter-balanced springs and dual pistons to prevent air leakage into the intake system during idle or part-throttle operation. This design specifically mitigates driveability issues commonly associated with single-piston valves on vehicles utilizing an air meter. The unit is designed for attachment to a 1-inch ID hose connection, commonly found on various intercooler kits. Installation requires measuring the port on the vacuum tree or turbo outlet to determine the appropriate vacuum hose size; 4mm ID hose provides a tight, stretch-fit that may not require a clamp, while 6mm ID hose requires a clamp to ensure security. Each kit includes the blow off valve, a replacement preload spring, and a 1-inch silicone hose for attachment to a welded bung or tee connector.
