The Ksport Procomp Big Brake Kit is engineered to deliver superior stopping performance for your Mercedes Benz CL Class (W215) from 2000-2006, specifically for the CL500, CL55 AMG, and CL600 models. This kit features an extreme lightweight, one-piece caliper that is CNC machined from aircraft-quality billet aluminum. It utilizes a differential bore configuration, aluminum pistons for corrosion resistance and lighter weight, and high-temperature seals. The opposed-piston caliper design significantly improves pad wear and caliper rigidity over OEM setups. Stainless steel brake lines are included to prevent expansion under pressure, ensuring a faster pedal response. The braking system incorporates a 2-piece disc assembly with an aluminum center, reducing rotating and unsprung weight for quicker response and shorter stopping distances. Many applications offer a floating disc option to mitigate thermal stresses and prevent warping. The unique slot design on the rotor minimizes braking noise and efficiently expels gas and pad debris. Rotors are heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. For street use, SC5 Street pads with a ceramic compound are recommended, while RC1 Race Pads are offered for track applications.
