Each caliper is constructed from a single billet of aircraft-grade aluminum, ensuring lightweight strength and resistance to corrosion. The kit includes aluminum pistons that offer superior heat resistance and reliable operation. The calipers feature an opposed piston design that greatly improves pad wear and caliper rigidity compared to OEM components. For the rear Procomp systems, 2-piston lightweight aluminum calipers are standard in 11" and 12" kits, while 13" and 14" systems come with 4-piston calipers. All Ksport Big Brake kits include CNC-machined carbon steel caliper brackets that facilitate a direct bolt-on installation to the OEM caliper bracket location. The included SC5 Street Pads offer optimal braking performance for street and occasional track use, with reduced brake dust (by 50% or more) and noise compared to race pads. D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines are standard, preventing line expansion under pressure for quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel. Customization options include slotted or cross-drilled rotors; cross-drilled are recommended for daily drivers due to cooler running temperatures, while slotted rotors are advised for track-focused vehicles. Calipers come standard in various painted colors, with options for premium high-polish finishes and over 20,000 custom color choices. Please note that Ksport Big Brake kits are built to order, typically requiring 4-6 weeks for production and delivery. This kit specifically fits the Mazda 6 from 2009-2013, excluding the Mazdaspeed model, and is compatible with 2WD vehicles only.
