All calipers are constructed from a solid billet of aircraft-grade aluminum, ensuring lightweight, unparalleled strength, and corrosion resistance. The calipers feature aluminum pistons for improved heat resistance and reliable operation. Front kits offer 6 or 8-piston caliper options, with 8-piston calipers standard on larger 13" and 14" systems, designed to significantly improve pad wear and caliper rigidity over OEM designs. Rear kits include 2 or 4-piston calipers, also improving pad wear and rigidity. The kit includes CNC-machined carbon steel caliper brackets that facilitate direct bolt-on installation to your OEM caliper bracket location. Customers can choose between slotted or cross-drilled rotors, with cross-drilled recommended for daily drivers due to cooler operation, and slotted recommended for track use. The kit comes standard with SC5 Street Pads, offering optimal braking for street and occasional track use, reducing dust by 50% or more and minimizing noise and rotor wear, with an optimal operating temperature range of 194°F - 1022°F. Additionally, all Ksport Big Brake kits include D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines. These lines prevent expansion under pressure, leading to quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel compared to stock rubber lines. Ksport Big Brake kits are built to order, with an estimated production and delivery time of 4-6 weeks. Calipers are available in standard painted colors like Orange, Red, Black, and Yellow, with premium high-polish finishes and custom color options also available.
