These calipers incorporate aluminum pistons for superior heat management and reliable operation. Carbon steel caliper brackets, CNC machined for precision, are included to facilitate direct bolt-on installation to the OEM caliper bracket locations, accommodating the larger Ksport calipers. D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines are standard, offering a firmer pedal feel, quicker pedal response, and preventing line expansion under pressure compared to stock rubber lines. This specific kit is designed for the 2007-2012 BMW 1 Series and comes with Ksport's SC5 Street Pads, which provide optimal braking performance for street and occasional track use. These pads are formulated to reduce brake dust by over 50% compared to race pads, while also minimizing noise and rotor wear. The pads operate optimally between 194°F and 1022°F. Customization options are available for the brake calipers, including standard painted colors like Orange, Red, Black, and Yellow, with options for premium high-polish finishes or over 20,000 custom color finishes.
