This kit features 8-piston calipers, each constructed from a single piece of aircraft-grade aluminum for exceptional strength, light weight, and corrosion resistance. The calipers also incorporate aluminum pistons, which offer superior heat resistance and reliable operation. The kit includes two-piece rotors, which contribute to light weight, fade-free performance, and effective grip on the track, while also ensuring comfortable operation during normal driving. Standard with the kit are SC5 Street Pads, designed for optimal performance in street and occasional track use, offering reduced dust, noise, and rotor wear. DOT-compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines are also included, providing a firmer pedal feel, quicker response, and preventing line expansion under pressure. This specific kit is designed for the Mazda RX-8 from 2003-2012. The Procomp systems feature two-piece rotors, available in either slotted or cross-drilled options. Slotted rotors are recommended for track use, while cross-drilled rotors are suggested for daily-driven vehicles due to their cooler running temperatures.
