The Ksport ProComp Big Brake Kit is a sophisticated bolt-on brake upgrade designed to enhance braking power under sustained high-heat conditions for your 2005-2007 Subaru Impreza STI. This kit aims to reduce brake fade and continually cool and refresh the brake pads through its advanced design. Constructed from aircraft-grade aluminum, the 1-piece calipers are both lightweight and incredibly strong, offering freedom from corrosion. The opposed-piston caliper design significantly improves pad grip and minimizes uneven wear, while aluminum pistons provide superior heat resistance. The kit includes reinforced carbon steel caliper brackets that allow for direct bolt-on installation onto existing mounting points, accommodating the larger-than-OEM size calipers. This big brake kit features 2-piece rotors with aluminum centers, which reduce rotational mass, leading to quicker braking response and shorter stopping distances. The 2-piece design also mitigates rotor warpage by allowing for more unrestricted expansion and contraction of the outer iron section. Additionally, heavy-duty caliper seals are incorporated for sustained high-temperature racetrack use, and stainless steel brake lines prevent expansion under extreme temperatures and pressures, ensuring faster pedal response.
