The aluminum pistons offer superior heat resistance and ensure uncompromised operation. The calipers utilize an opposed-piston design for consistent brake pad grip and wear. Standard features on each caliper include high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The kit incorporates two-piece rotors, available in either slotted or cross-drilled designs. This design contributes to lightweight construction, fade-free performance, and effective grip. Lightweight center sections crafted from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum reduce rotational mass for quicker stopping and improved brake response. The two-piece design also helps mitigate rotor warping due to heat expansion, and the aluminum center sections act as heat sinks. For daily driven vehicles, cross-drilled rotors are recommended for cooler operation, while slotted rotors are advised for vehicles with more track use. This rear big brake system includes essential components for a complete upgrade. The standard kit includes two forged, monoblock aluminum calipers, two lightweight two-piece rotors (slotted or drilled), a set of SC5 Street Brake Pads, two stainless steel brake lines, and all necessary mounting components and hardware, including CNC-machined carbon steel caliper brackets. D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines are standard, offering reduced expansion under pressure for quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel. The included SC5 Street Pads provide optimal braking performance for street and occasional track conditions, with reduced dust and noise compared to race pads. An upgrade to RCI Race Pads is available for extreme track conditions. This system is appropriate for vehicles with 19-inch wheels and above.
