Overview

The Mountune coolant tank kit is a billet aluminum replacement for the original plastic coolant expansion tank found in the Focus ST and RS. It maintains the same functionality as the factory unit while providing an additional 160ml of fluid volume to the cooling system.

The unit features a two-chamber internal design with cross-over passages at the top and bottom, which helps aid in deaerating the cooling system while providing an additional 160ml of fluid capacity. The assembly is constructed from two aluminum halves secured with seven high-grade stainless fasteners and a precision gasket. The kit comes complete with a mounting bracket, aluminum adapter fittings, and necessary coolant and overflow hoses. This unit requires the use of the included 1.3bar/19psi pressure cap, as the original Ford pressure cap is not compatible and cannot be used with this tank. This product is intended for off-highway application only, and installation on a vehicle driven on public roads may violate local emission and motor vehicle safety standards.
