The 034 Motorsport Billet Aluminum Front Main Seal is engineered as a superior replacement for the failure-prone stamped steel factory front main wiper seal found on 3.0T Audi EA837 supercharged engines. This upgrade is CNC machined from durable 6061-T6 aluminum and finished with a gloss black anodizing for a clean look. It incorporates an OEM Viton Elring seal, which is more forgiving of higher crankcase pressures than the stock seal, and includes an integral tension spring to ensure a consistently tight seal against the crankshaft, significantly reducing the likelihood of oil leaks. This billet seal offers enhanced durability and resistance to failure, particularly in scenarios involving serpentine belt failure. Unlike the OE seal, which can ingest shredded belts, the 034 Motorsport design is significantly less susceptible to damage, preventing potential oil leaks and related issues such as crankcase pressure problems or even misfires. The failure of a front main seal can lead to noticeable oil leaks, a burning oil smell, and potentially trigger a check engine light.
