Billet Aluminum MIVEC Housing

The Driven Fab CGH-EXH-EVOX MIVEC exhaust cam gear housing is a direct replacement engineered for the Mitsubishi EVO X models from 2008-2015. These failures can result in cracks and subsequent loss of MIVEC control, especially under increased valve spring seat pressure or oil pressure loss. To enhance durability and prevent premature failure, the Driven Fab housing is CNC machined from a solid billet of 6061-T6 aluminum. This manufacturing process significantly increases the overall strength and resistance to cracking compared to the original equipment. The housing features an enlarged diameter for added robustness. Please note that this product does not include the factory phaser, gear, hardware, spring, or retaining pin; these components will need to be transferred from the original unit. Installation requires careful attention to specific procedures. It is recommended to use a lubricant on all internal surfaces during assembly. The bolts should be secured using Loctite Threadlocker Blue 242 and torqued to 100 in/lbs with a 5-point pentalobe T30 Torx bit. The retaining pin must be installed using an arbor press, set to a depth of approximately .425 inches from the top of the pin to the surface of the MIVEC housing.
