The Mishimoto Full-Flow Transmission Thermal Bypass Valve Kit directly replaces the stock thermostatic bypass valve on your 2012-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK. Jeep's original valve restricts fluid flow to the transmission cooler until the fluid reaches operating temperature to prevent overcooling in cold environments. However, this can lead to overheating if the thermostat fails or in hot climates where overcooling is not a concern, rendering the stock valve a restriction. This kit utilizes an all-aluminum, CNC-machined billet housing with an integrated 160F thermostat, matching the stock opening temperature. Its full-flow design ensures fluid circulates through the transmission cooler from startup, providing essential cooling benefits for vehicles in hot climates, those used for towing heavy loads, or subjected to extreme driving conditions. The housing also features machined cooling fins for added heat dissipation and a durable anodized finish. Installation is rated as easy and can be completed in under an hour.
