This system integrates advanced brake technology, including a lightweight, one-piece caliper CNC machined from aircraft-quality billet aluminum. This caliper weighs just over 5 lbs and features differential bore configuration with machined protection grooves for bridge tubes. The kit comes standard with aluminum pistons for superior heat resistance, high-temperature seals, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston caliper design enhances pad wear and overall caliper rigidity compared to OEM components. Additionally, the included stainless-steel braided brake lines are DOT compliant, preventing line expansion under pressure for quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel. Ksport utilizes a two-piece disc assembly to reduce both rotating and unsprung weight. Many applications offer a floating disc option to mitigate thermal stress and prevent warping. The unique rotor slot design effectively reduces braking noise and rapidly expels gas and pad debris. Customers can choose between cross-drilled rotors, recommended for daily drivers due to cooler operating temperatures, or slotted rotors, ideal for vehicles experiencing more track use. It includes SC5 Street Pads, offering optimal braking performance for street and occasional track use, with reduced dust, noise, and rotor wear. The kit also features a carbon steel caliper bracket for direct bolt-on installation to OEM caliper bracket locations.
