Billet Aluminum Rear Engine Mount

The ZZP Ecotec Front Transmission Mount is a second-generation billet aluminum upgrade featuring a solid rubber bushing. This design aims to significantly reduce wheel hop without the harsh vibration sometimes introduced by overly stiff polyurethane mounts. The mount is engineered to be lighter than the stock unit, with the ZZP version weighing 1.65 lbs compared to the stock 2.2 lbs. This transmission mount is used in high-performance applications, contributing to hard launches in vehicles like the Cobalt, HHR, and Ion Redlines. Specific examples include achieving 1.5-second 60-foot times in a 2006 model and 1.6-second 60-foot times in an LNF model. It is important to note several fitment exclusions: this mount will not work on 2004 Ion Redline models, or on cars equipped with the 2.4L or 2.2L engines. Furthermore, it is incompatible with automatic transmissions. The torque specifications for installation are 66 ft lbs for the mount to cradle connection and 74 ft lbs for each mount to bellhousing connection.
