Billet Aluminum Rear Main Seal

The 034 Motorsport Billet Aluminum Rear Main Seal is engineered to replace the failure-prone stamped steel factory seal found on 2.0T Volkswagen engines. This upgrade is CNC machined from robust 6061-T6 aluminum and incorporates an OEM Viton Elring seal with an integrated tension spring, ensuring a reliable seal against the crankshaft. The OEM rear main seal's design, featuring a PTFE sealing lip, is prone to degradation over time, leading to oil leaks between the engine and transmission. These leaks can also contribute to crankcase pressure problems and potentially cause misfires. The 034 Motorsport Billet Rear Main Seal, with its triangulated reinforcing ribs, sealant groove, and locating dowels, addresses these issues by providing superior strength, precise fitment, and a positive seal. Key features include gloss black anodizing for durability and aesthetics, and an included installation tool to simplify the process and prevent damage to the seal. New Grade 8.8 hardware is also provided. This billet seal is a direct replacement for OEM part numbers 06A 103 171A and 06K-103-171G, offering a significant improvement over the stock component for longevity and performance.
