Billet Aluminum Single-Mass Flywheel

This premium flywheel is constructed from billet aluminum, featuring a single-mass design with a replaceable hardened steel clutch surface. It incorporates captive 10mm dowel pins and is designed to work with the factory starter ring gear for a seamless integration. By reducing both static weight and the Moment of Inertia (MOI), this lightweight aluminum flywheel allows your engine to rev more quickly and makes shifting noticeably faster. The reduction in mass means less engine power is consumed in accelerating the flywheel itself, resulting in more power being delivered to the wheels. This flywheel is a direct replacement for stock units and is compatible with OE clutch components. It is specifically designed for BMW models including the E46, E39, Z3, Z4, M52TU, and M54 engines, particularly those equipped with 5-speed manual transmissions. It offers a substantial weight saving, for example, reducing the weight from approximately 25 pounds for a stock E46 3-series non-M 5-speed flywheel down to around 10 pounds with the JB Racing unit.
