These paddles are made from billet aluminum, machined in-house, and then bright dipped and anodized for surface finish longevity. The shift indicators are hand-painted, and both paddles are inlaid with black Alcantara for improved tactile feel. Each set takes over 3 hours to complete from start to finish.

The Black Forest Industries Complete Replacement shift paddles are engineered for the MK8 GTI and Golf R models equipped with DSG or Tiptronic automatic transmissions. They are a full replacement for the OEM paddles, connecting directly to the steering wheel's paddle hinge, and are not simply stick-on additions. Crafted from billet aluminum, these shift paddles are machined in-house at BFI. They undergo a bright dipping and anodizing process to ensure long-lasting surface finish durability. The shift indicators are meticulously hand-painted in a choice of colors, and both paddles feature an inlay of black Alcantara to further enhance grip and feel during spirited driving. The manufacturing process for each set of paddles is extensive, requiring over three hours to complete from start to finish. Included with each set are the full replacement shift paddles, two BFI Tree coins, and all necessary hardware for installation. The fitment is specified for 2022+ MK8 GTI, 2022+ MK8 Golf R, 2022+ MK7 GLI, 2021+ Arteon R-Line, and 2024+ Atlas vehicles. The product listing also notes that some vehicles may not come standard with paddle shifters, but functionality can often be gained by swapping to a paddle-shift steering wheel; direct contact with BFI is recommended for questions regarding this modified fitment.
