The Ballade Sports Heavy Duty Timing Chain Tensioner (TCT) is a robust upgrade specifically engineered for the Honda S2000. This component directly targets the known weakness in the stock timing chain tensioner, which can lead to noise and rattling after approximately 40,000 miles, or even sooner. The BS-TCT-ALM is constructed from durable billet aluminum, ensuring longevity and reliability. This heavy-duty tensioner incorporates several improvements over the factory part. It features stronger springs to maintain proper chain tension, a redesigned center pin for enhanced durability, and larger oil galleys to ensure adequate lubrication. These enhancements not only eliminate the common ticking and rattling noises associated with the stock TCT but also provide support for high-lift camshafts, allowing for greater performance potential.
