The factory dowel pin in Cummins timing gear assemblies is prone to backing out and lodging into the gear. This retainer is an inexpensive solution to prevent this failure.

Constructed from billet aluminum, it includes a stainless-steel bolt with a thread locking patch. It is reversible and compatible with VE pump engines.

The stock dowel pin in these engines can back out of its bore, potentially lodging in the gear mechanism and leading to catastrophic engine damage. This retainer offers a straightforward and cost-effective solution to secure the dowel pin. Constructed from durable billet aluminum, the GF-CKDR features a robust design. It comes complete with a stainless-steel bolt that has an integrated thread-locking patch, ensuring a secure installation. This product is specifically designed for Dodge Cummins 12 & 24 Valve 6BT engines from 1989 to 2002. Its primary function is to maintain the integrity of the timing gear assembly by ensuring the dowel pin remains securely in place, thereby preventing costly repairs.
